VIC Winter Season PassA Winter Season Pass makes a great gift for the active outdoorsman on your list. The VIC has over 25 miles of groomed trails for cross country skiing, skate skiing, and snowshoeing. There are three categories of trails available at the VIC -- classic ski trails, skating ski trails, and snowshoe trails -- providing opportunities for outdoor recreation for people of all abilities. The trail pass helps pay for grooming equipment, personnel and continuing improvements to the VIC trail system. Trail pass holders also receive discounts on VIC Center events and programs.

VIC Maple SyrupGiving a Sugar Maple Adoption is another great gift idea. You purchase the adoption for $50. The VIC does the tapping, collecting, and boiling. As the "foster parent," your gift recipient will get a quart of maple syrup from “his or her very own tree” when it’s ready next spring. Your gift helps support the ongoing operation of maple sugaring at the VIC, and you will be investing in the education of an intern and the equipment to take loving care of the trees. Adoption papers are available at the VIC front desk. (Note: For anyone not picking up their quart of syrup at the VIC or if you wish to have us ship the syrup to someone as a gift, there will be an additional fee.)

Explore the VIC

The Paul Smiths VIC offers a wide variety of programs throughout the year to educate and inform Adirondack Park residents and visitors about the natural wonders of the Adirondack Mountains.
