Photo used by permission.Paul Smith’s College students will be on hand to lead  “Learn the art of maple sugaring” workshops.  Participants will learn about backyard tapping, collection, and boiling.  The program runs from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. This program is part of the Northern New York Maple Project. The Paul Smith's College VIC and the Wild Center are teaming up to promote a local maple-syrup project designed to create new demonstration sites, train local producers, and promote further growth in the industry. The partners are working in collaboration with the Cornell Sugar Maple Research and Extension Program.

Explore the Trails

The VIC trails are free and open to the public, from dawn to dusk, spring through fall. In winter, the trails are open to cross-country skiers and snowshoers for a fee. Day or season passes may be purchased.
