Sports at the VIC: Summer Trail RunsSummer Sports at the Paul Smiths VIC: Trail RunningGet out and enjoy a run in the woods on the VIC's bark mulch trails and grassy service roads. These runs are part of the 2015 Adirondack Trail Race Series, hosted by the Paul Smith's College VIC and High Peaks Cyclery. Scenic vistas, opportunities to see wild life, and well-maintained trails are bonuses people have discovered at the VIC. 

2015 VIC Trail Runs

Summer Fun Trail Run Series: We’ll keep you on your toes and on the trails every other Wednesday when you participate in the VIC's Summer Fun Trail Run Series. The runs begin on Wednesday, 24 June 2015 and end on 2 September 2015. Courses will vary each week. There will be no run on 29 July 29, due to Ironman Race in Lake Placid.  Series prizes will be awarded at the Fall Foliage Ramble on 10 October. 

Jenkins Mountain Scramble at the VIC: The fifth annual Paul Smiths Jenkins Mountain Scramble will be held on Saturday, 23 May 2015. The day features several events:

Independence Day Star-Spangled Trail Run at the VIC: Wear your red, white, and blue on Sunday, 5 July 2015, to celebrate the U.S.A. at Paul Smith’s College VIC! The day will feature several events:

Fall Foliage Ramble: The VIC will host the grand finale of the 2015 Adirondack Trail Running Series on Saturday, 10 October 2015. Come join us at the Paul Smith's College VIC to run and race on some of the most beautiful trails in the Adirondacks during the peak of fall foliage. The day will feature several events:




Explore the VIC

The Paul Smiths VIC offers a wide variety of programs throughout the year to educate and inform Adirondack Park residents and visitors about the natural wonders of the Adirondack Mountains. You can help support these programs by joining the Friends of the VIC. More information on Friends of the VIC memberships

Explore the Trails

The VIC trails are free and open to the public, from dawn to dusk, spring through fall. In winter, the trails are open to cross-country skiers and snowshoers for a fee. Day or season passes may be purchased.
